Schools without football teams are well into the basketball season. The Emmet Eagles will travel to Saratoga on Dec. 1 for a conference game. Emmet will host Emerson on Dec. 8 and Delight on Dec. 11. The Eagles will travel to Trinity Christian in Texarkana on Dec. 15 and to Spring Hill on Dec. 18 for the final game of the year. Play will pick up in January. Boys and girls senior teams will play at each of these locations. All games begin at 5:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Nevada Blue Jays will travel to Parkers Chapel on Dec. 1. The Jays will host Taylor High School on Dec. 8 for a conference game and will host Parkers Chapel on Dec. 14 for the final game of December with play resuming in January. All games begin at 5:30 p.m.
The basketball season for the Prescott Curley Wolves won’t take off until January with the Wolves and Lady Wolves facing Genoa Central for their first game of the season.
