The Prescott Sr. Boys won their fourth straight District 7-3A Championship at Genoa on Saturday, April 24th.  Prescott rolled up 266.5 points followed by Gurdon with 119. Bismarck finished third with 78 followed by Genoa (58), Lafayette County (46), Rison (33), Camden Harmony Grove (21), Centerpoint (18.5), and Fouke (8).  The Curley Wolves were led by high point man KeAndrae Ballance with 48.5 points followed by C.J. Smith and Daniel McCoy with 27 points, James Colbert (16.5), Jarrett Harris (15), Taylor Shonts (12), Avery Shaw (10.5), Tevin Young (10.5), Jacob Wayne (10.5), Brady Burton (10.5), Trevor Rucker (10), Mark Johnson (7.5), Tanner Fortner (6), Brandon Marks (5), Tyler Adkins (5), Johnathan Burks (5), Dakota Butler (5), Timmy Marks (4), Jesse Glass (4), Seth Easterling (4), L.J. Martin (4), Greg Daniel (3.5), Kaneil Purifoy (3), Colton Phillips (3), Jelani Cole (3), Daylon Biggs (2.5), Joseph Ledbetter (2), and Juan Duran (2).  Prescott swept all three relays once again at the district meet as the 4 x 100 team of K. Ballance, D. Biggs, T. Young, and J. Colbert ran a 44.18, the 4 x 800 team of C.J. Smith, B. Burton, J. Wayne, and J. Harris ran a 9:00.54, and the 4 x 400 team of A. Shaw, J. Harris, M. Johnson, and C.J. Smith ran a 3:35.17.  It was a great day for track and field for the Curley Wolves until the 200 meter dash when senior sprinter Daylon Biggs suffered a season ending Achilles Tendon injury as he led the way down the back stretch.  This injury would end up playing a major role in the Class 3A State Track Meet that would be held in Prescott the following Thursday, April 29th.  Coming into the state track meet the Prescott Curley Wolves were looking for their fourth straight state championship.  Without Biggs the Curley Wolves were going to have to be very good to pull off the fourth title in a row.  The Wolves were good, but not quite good enough and had to settle for the Class 3A State Runner-up Trophy as the Rivercrest Colts held off the Curley Wolves 116 to 104.5.  Magnet Cove finished third with 65 points, Elkins was fourth with 47 points, and Gurdon rounded out the top five with 46 points.  Prescott was led at the state meet by KeAndrae Ballance with 33.5 points, followed by C.J. Smith with 12, James Colbert (8.5), Avery Shaw and Brady Burton (7.5), Jarrett Harris and Jacob Wayne (6.5), Daniel McCoy and Trevor Rucker (5), Timmy Marks, Brandon Marks, Tevin Young, Mark Johnson, and Kaneil Purifoy (2.5). 
The Curley Wolves completed a sweep of all three relays for the third year in a row as the 4 x 100 team of Brandon Marks, KeAndrae Ballance, Tevin Young, and James Colbert ran a 44.13, the 4 x 800 team of Brady Burton, Jacob Wayne, Timmy Marks, and Jarret Harris ran an 8:51.64, and the 4 x 400 team of Avery Shaw, Jarrett Harris, Kaneil Purifoy, and Mark Johnson ran a 3:31.27.  K. Ballance also won the long jump (22’2”), finished second in the triple jump (44’3”), third in the 110 m hurdles (15.49), fourth in the high jump (6’1”), and seventh in the 100 m dash (11.48).  C.J Smith finished second in the 300 m hurdles (42.98) and fifth in the 110 m hurdles (16.86), James Colbert finished fourth in the long jump (20’6”) and eighth in the triple jump (41’4.5”).  Trevor Rucker finished fourth in the pole vault (12’0”), Jarrett Harris tied for seventh in the pole vault (10’6”), Daniel McCoy finished fifth in the 300 m hurdles (43.68) and eighth in the long jump (20’2”), Avery Shaw finished fourth in the 400 m dash (52.59), Brady Burton finished fourth in the 3200 m run (11:39.30), and Jacob Wayne finished fifth in the 800 m run (2:15.27).  Taylor Shonts also qualified for the state meet and competed well in the 1600 m run (5:14.35). 
The Curley Wolves had another great season as they won the Genoa Dragon Relays (137.5), finished second at the Prescott Wolf Relays (131), second at the Nashville Scrapper Relays (115), third at the Prescott Merchant Relays (147), fourth at the Dequeen Leopard Relays (73.5), and fifth at the Ashdown Domtar Relays (69) to go along with their District 7-3A Championship and Class 3A State Runner-up finish.  The season point total came to 1,054.5 for an average of 131.8 points per meet.  These young men have been a part of many championships in track and field and as always they held up the Curley Wolf spirit with pride and determination throughout the 2010 season.  The team roster and individual point totals are as follows:  High Point Winner, KeAndrae Ballance with 221 points followed by C.J.
