Shirley Roy Young, 49, of Rosston, passed Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, in Texarkana. She was born Jan. 12, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, daughter of Jerry Lee and Lucille Dixon Roy.She was a 1984 graduate of Oak Grove High School and a graduate of Eastfield Community College where she received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts. She worked as a substitute teacher in Hope Public School District. She was a member of Crossroads Church of God In Christ in Chidester.
