Ruth C. Vinson, 90, of Hope, formerly of Rosston and Magnolia, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.
She was a member of the Rosston Baptist Church in Rosston and formerly a member of Marysville United Methodist Church in Columbia County.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lavelle E. Vinson; one son, Snooky Vinson and 11 brothers and sisters.
Her survivors include two daughters, Mary S. Wheelington of Rosston and Carolyn Knox of Springhill; two grandchildren, Susan and Amy; four great-grandchildren, Colby, Patrick, Drew and Sam; and a number of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service was at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 23 at Marysville United Methodist Church in Columbia County with the Rev. Petey Ward officiating. Burial followed. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
The family received friends Tuesday, March 23, beginning at noon until service time at Marysville United Methodist Church.
