Martha Smith Fort, 75, of Bluff city, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 11, 2010, at her home.
She was the daughter of the late Berry Smith and Zady Dansby Smith. She retired from the Prescott Manor Nursing home after 28 years of service where she loved her work.
Her memories will be forever cherished by her husband, Mr. Junius Lee Fort; three daughters, Katherine Griffin of Prescott, Irene Oliver of Arkadelphia, and Mary Ann (Earl) Curry of Curtis; five sons,  Rev. James Fort (Kathy), Rev. Willie Fort (Lois) of Bluff City, Rev. Herbert Fort (Catherine) of Chidester, Rev. John Fort(Jeanette) of Rosston, and Rev. Chester Fort (Lorreta) of Phenix City, Ala.; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosie Fort (Hubie) of Bluff City; two brothers, Charles Smith (Ruth) of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and John Smith (Mary) of Bluff City.
Services will be at noon Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church in Chidester, where Rev. James Fort is the pastor. Burial followed in White Church Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hicks Funeral Home, Inc. 407 South Hazel, Hope, Ar. 71801.
