Mr. Joe Aaron Morgan, 58, of Prescott, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, in Baptist Health Center in North Little Rock.
He was born on Sept. 4, 1950, in Nevada County, to Bishop and Mattie Lee Hopston. He was disabled. He was a member of Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, J.W. Green and Clyde Franklin Morgan and one sister, Mattie L. Vaden.
He is survived by one son, Colin Morgan and Amelia of Texarkana; two daughters, Tamiko Williams and Derrick and Kimberly Harris and Dofort, all of Prescott; three brothers, Clifford Morgan and Ann of Little Rock and W.C. Flemons and Jean and Carl Morgan, all of Prescott; four sisters, Thelma Murphy, Selma Morgan and Janie Craven and James, all of Prescott and Lavada Pearson of Little Rock; a special friend, Lillie Mae King Morgan of Prescott and five grandchildren.
The funeral service was at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 18, at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church in Prescott, with Rev. Fred Walters officiating. The burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
The family wake was Friday, July 17, from 6-7 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
