Proj. Grad plans “souper” event
Project Graduation will be serving taco soup during the parent/teacher conferences at the Prescott Elementary and High Schools. The cost is $5 for soup and tea. It will be in the Prescott Elementary cafeteria from 2:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11.
MMS selling
pastries
McRae Middle School students will be selling Butter Braid Pastries again this year from Feb. 10-24. The cost is $12 for each loaf. The flavors available are: Strawberry Cream Cheese, Cinnamon, Apple, Bavarian Cream, and Cream Cheese. All profits will be used to support rewards for MMS students. Senior citizen night
Friday, Feb. 12 will be senior citizen night at the basketball game with Prescott against Nevada. Admission for senior citizens 60 and up is free. Identification is required.
FOL plans
meeting
The Nevada County Friends of the Library will hold their annual meeting Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 4 p.m. at the library. Everyone is invited.
Library closed
The Prescott/Nevada County Library will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 16. The Library will reopen Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 9:30 a.m.
Weight Watchers to meet
Anyone interested in a meeting with Weight Watchers is encouraged to attend a meeting at Prescott High School, Room 106, every Tuesday until April 13, at 3:45 p.m. If enough people are interested, it may be extended until a later date.For information call the EAST initiative at 887-2596.

County Fair
t-shirt design
The Nevada County Fair board is accepting designs for the upcoming Nevada County Fair t-shirts. The theme for this year’s fair is “Barnyard Boogie”. The deadline is April 1. Turn in design to the Prescott/Nevada County Chamber.
