An undercover sting operation led the arrest of two Prescott men, charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, with intent to deliver.
According to court records, officers with the South Central Drug Task Force had been working in Nevada County and, on July 25, got a warrant to search the home of Mike Miller, 45, of Prescott. Also arrested as a result of the sting was Will Lippott.
Officers searched the home at the corner of 6th and East Pine in Prescott and found a clear plastic bag with a large rock-like substance believed to be "ice," a form of meth, a set of digital scales and other items. According to court records, the drugs weighed 2.6 grams.
Miller reportedly claimed to have gotten the drugs from other people in the past and didn't want Lippott to get in trouble for the items found in the house. Lippott was also arrested and allegedly told officers he had used meth and got it from Miller, but had never sold any, though he reportedly saw Miller sell the drugs on a number of occasions.
This is a class Y felony, punishable by imprisonment in the Arkansas Department of Correction for no less than 10 nor more than 40 years or life, along with a fine up to $25,000.
