To me, nothing cooks as good as cast iron. I have a collection of black cast iron skillets and pots, including a 14-inch Dutch oven that has not only legs, but a handle as well. It belonged to my great-grandfather who cooked in Texas cow camps in the 1800s. I use a crock pot in deer camp only because it allows me to go hunting too. I put the beans on early in the morning and have part of my supper cooked when I get down off my stand.
