Greetings! Parents, Labor Day will be our last holiday before we become fully immersed in the rigors of school activities. Your Curley Cubs have already had some of their pre-tests and their teachers are aware of what they need to accomplish this year to make the necessary progress in their education.  By now they have also learned school and classroom rules; in fact, some classes have been tested on these rules. Therefore, Principal Kathie Janes, and the students, teachers, and staff at McRae are ready to blast off in the pursuit of educational excellence during the 2009-2010 academic school year.
To make our pursuit successful our Cubs need to complete their supply list; this weekend is the last one for purchasing school supplies.  Make sure to take advantage of sales and to check to see if your children has taken previously purchased supplies to school. Note that hand sanitizers are in demand this year and should be purchased before they “fly off” the shelves in area stores.
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend and make the holiday a labor of love by squeezing in a few family activities.  Your Cubs can reminisce about these activities as they embrace the challenges of the fall.
