The Prescott Lady Wolves varsity basketball team has put together a quality list of victories during their time on the hardwood competing in team camp competitions this summer.
The Lady Wolves began their team camp workouts in June competing at Lake Hamilton in Pearcy going 3-3 facing squads such as reigning Class 5A state champions Hot Springs Lady Trojans, Monticello, Benton and Lake Hamilton.
The Lady Wolves finished team camp play 1-1 in Glen Rose against the host team Glen Rose and Woodlawn.
Before last week's team camp competitions, the Lady Wolves had a summer record at 4-5 overall according to Head Coach B.J. Rogers.
Thus far, coach Rogers has been really pleased by the Lady Wolves team play with the addition of his freshmen group from last season to step up to the varsity level for senior high girls basketball.
Rogers believes the younger group of sophomores for this upcoming season provides the needed depth for a deeper bench to help the Lady Wolves progress through a challenging year of senior high girls basketball competition for 2018-19.
Rogers said, "I've been pleased by the girls play this summer and like their energy."
For this summer in team camps, the Lady Wolves have battled in down-to-the-wire contests that's been very exciting and Rogers feels this will be productive experience for his group heading into the 2018-19 basketball year.
The Lady Wolves will have several players to return from last season's team that brings experience with seniors to lead them along the journey to success on the hardwood in Class 3A hoops.
The Lady Wolves wrap up their summer offseason team camp workouts this week as they'll finish out Thursday July 26 at Nashville.
