Defending Class 3A State Track Champs Prescott Curley Wolves successfully performed well once again amongst the top schools in the Natural State all assembled on the big stage to capture back-to-back state titles at the 2018 Class 3A State Boys Track Championships hosted at Phillips Field, Lions Stadium in Jessieville.

Defending Class 3A State Track Champs Prescott Curley Wolves successfully performed well once again amongst the top schools in the Natural State all assembled on the big stage to capture back-to-back state titles at the 2018 Class 3A State Boys Track Championships hosted at Phillips Field, Lions Stadium in Jessieville.
The Curley Wolves finished first place overall for the second consecutive year to rack up 106 points to be crown 2-Time 3A State Track Champions for 2018. Several Wolves placed first as state champions  in a variety of events featuring Kadarius Pearson winning the pole vault, Ryan Johnson in the 400 meter dash, Adrian Block in the 300 meter hurdles and 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams.
Junction City finished second place to take the state runner-up with 67 points, Jessieville finished third place with 64.50 points, McGehee finished fourth with 58 points, Rivercrest fifth with 43 points, Osceola sixth with 36 points, Clinton seventh with 44 points and Genoa Central eighth with 32.50 points for top eight team finishes at state.
Other schools with representation for competing at state were KIPP Delta Collegiate Prep, Lakeside Village, Harding Academy, Piggott, Glen Rose, Elkins, Green Forest, Manila, Paris, Bald Knob, Smackover, Greenland, Cedarville, Yellville-Summit, Fouke, Centerpoint, Lamar, Hoxie, Bismarck, Barton, Mansfield and Corning.
The Curley Wolves have performed productively throughout the 2018 track and field season to win several meets hosted in Prescott, Gurdon and winning their 12th consecutive district title hosted in Genoa-Texarkana.
Veteran commander-in-chief Prescott head track coach Brian Glass continues to keep the track and field programs blossoming to maintain a strong and productive reputation for to be one of the top athletic schools from the south in the Natural State.
Glass with help from the Prescott coaching staff looks forward to another year of track competition to aim for success and achievement in 2019.
CLASS 3A STATE BOYS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS 2018
FIELD EVENTS: In the High Jump - Quontravius Caldwell placed fifth with a jump of 6-02, Adrian Block placed sixth with a jump of 6-00.
In the Long Jump - Ryan Johnson placed second with a jump of 21-04.
In the Triple Jump - Ryan Johnson placed third with a jump of 44-06.25, Kadarius Pearson finished with a jump of 40-11.
In the Discus Throw - Eric Winfield finished with a throw of 102-04.
In the Pole Vault - Kadarius Pearson placed first with a winning jump of 13-02, Tywan Thompson placed sixth with a jump of 11-06.
RUNNING EVENTS: In the 4x800 meter relay - Prescott Team (Trey Rucker, Bernie Gonzalez, Tywan Thompson, Quontravius Caldwell) placed first with a winning time of 8:34.14.
In the 110 meter hurdles - Adrian Block placed second with a time of 15.24, Kadarius Pearson placed fifth with a time of 16.62, Colton Johnson placed eighth with a time of 17.14.
In the 100 meter dash (Prelims) - Kadarius Pearson finished with a time of 11.85.
In the 1600 meter run - Larry Peters placed seventh with a time of 5:01.04.
In the 4x100 meter relay - Prescott Team placed third with a time of 44.11.
In the 400 meter dash - Ryan Johnson placed first with a winning time of 49.94.
In the 300 meter hurdles - Adrian Block placed first with a winning time of 40.35, Colton Johnson placed sixth with a time of 44.14.
In the 800 meter run - Quontravius Caldwell placed third with a time of 2:05.10, Larry Peters placed seventh with a time of 2:12.05.
In the 4x400 meter relay - Prescott Team (Quontravius Caldwell, Larry Peters, Adrian Block, Ryan Johnson) placed first with a winning time of 3:28.31.
