The Prescott Curley Wolves wrapped up their regular season schedule in two home back -to-back games in 3A/4A Conference baseball play hosting the Mena Bearcats and the reigning Class 4A State Champions Nashville Scrappers last Monday evening at James A. Johnson Sports Complex.

The Prescott Curley Wolves wrapped up their regular season schedule in two home back -to-back games in 3A/4A Conference baseball play hosting the Mena Bearcats and the reigning Class 4A State Champions Nashville Scrappers last Monday evening at James A. Johnson Sports Complex.
The Wolves shined in their big victory against Mena, 12-2 but came up short to Nashville 13-0 in five innings of play for both bouts on the diamond.
The Wolves would finish the regular season schedule with 7-13 overall, 4-8 in conference before heading into the 7-3A district tourney, looking to clinch a spot to compete in regional in hopes to battle at the Class 3A State Tournament.

CURLEY WOLVES 12, MENA 2
The Curley Wolves took care of business to sweep the series match-up hosting the Mena Bearcats 12-2 at home in five innings of baseball action. The Wolves stormed to a 4-0 lead advantage to end first inning action. In the third, the Wolves crossed two home plate for two runs, then five in the fourth and put the game away in the fifth with one run. Mena was allowed one run scored apiece in the third and fourth innings to fall to Prescott for the 10-run defeat with the Curley Wolves victorious.
For the game, the Curley Wolves collected 12 runs on 10 hits. Thomas Muldrow had two hits, scored three runs with three RBI's. Peyton Chandler scored three runs, Jacobi Nolen had a hit and one RBI, Brody Pennington had one hit, scored two runs and an RBI. Eric Wingfield had a hit, scored a run with an RBI, Cade Haynie had two hits and an RBI, Jeffery Williams scored two runs, Hank Crain had a hit and scored a run. Riley Robbins had two hits, scored a run with an RBI.
Prescott collected nine stolen bases, with Robbins having three stolen bases, Chandler two stolen bases, Muldrow, Williams, Crain and Bailey Adams each with one stolen base apiece.
At the mound, Muldrow pitched one inning, walked three batter and struck out one batter. Timmy Hopkins pitched two innings, allowed four hits, no runs, walks and struck out one batter. Winfield pitched two innings, allowed two hits, two runs, walked one batter and struck out three batters.

CURLEY WOLVES 0, NASHVILLE 13
The Curley Wolves looked to even their series match-up in 3A/4A Conference play against the defending Class 4A State Baseball Champions Nashville Scrappers at home, but Prescott would be shut out 13-0 in five innings.
The Scrappers scored two runs in the first inning and 11runs in the fourth inning. Defensively, the Wolves held the reigning 4A State Champs scoreless in the second, third and fifth innings despite falling in defeat.
For the game, the Wolves collected one hit with Pennington recording the lone hit of the game for Prescott. At the mound, Nolen pitched 1.1 innings, allowed three hits, one run, walk and struck out two batters. Adams pitched 3.2 innings, allowed 14 hits, 12 runs and two walks.
