Prescott Lady Cubs track and field team finish tied for first place with Genoa Central as Co-Champs at the 7-3A Jr. High District Meet last Thursday hosted at Eddie Jackson Field, Cummins Stadium.

Prescott Lady Cubs track and field team finish tied for first place with Genoa Central as Co-Champs at the 7-3A Jr. High District Meet last Thursday hosted at Eddie Jackson Field, Cummins Stadium.
The Lady Cubs racked up 229 points tied with Genoa Central to place first overall with the Jr. Lady Dragons capturing the 7-3A Jr. High District Track Meet Title for 2018.
As a team, the Lady Cubs won first place in 10 events competing in a variety of running and field events.
Lady Cubs track star Fantasia Barmore captured the overall best individual honor as the 7-3A Jr. High District Meet High Point Award representing Prescott. Barmore racked up over 40 points and won the 100 meter hurdles, long jump along participating with the Lady Cubs team winning the 4x400 meter relay.

RUNNING EVENTS    
In the 100 meter dash - Hailey Patrick placed first with a winning time of 12.96, Keeyonece Butler placed second with a time of 13.14, Kendall Sands placed third with a time of 13.53, India Rooney placed fourth with a time of 13.61, Kamille Bryant placed fifth with a time of 13.64.
In the 200 meter dash - Keeyonece Butler placed first with a winning time of 28.18, Hailey Patrick placed second with a time of 28.21, Kendall Sands placed fifth with a time of 28.95, Kamille Bryant placed sixth with a time of 29.62.
In the 400 meter dash - Keeyonece Butler placed first with a winning time of 62.81, Keisha Johnson placed second with a time of 63.50, Heavenly Zachery placed sixth with a time of 71.20, Karson Marlar placed seventh with a time of 72.69, Kailey Reese finished with a time of 1:28.20.
In the 800 meter run - Emma Doucet placed first with a winning time of 2:42.37, Jada Purifoy finished with a time of 3:08.24, Kamryn Collier finished with a time of 3:15.11, Leighton Hillery finished with a time of 3:18.55.
In the1600 meter run - Emma Doucet placed first with a winning time of 6:06.01, Chloe Grimes finished with a time of 7:07.76, Leighton Hillery finished with a time of 7:13.10, Tatum Jarvis finished with a time of 7:56.67.
In the 100 meter hurdles - Fantasia Barmore placed first with a winning time of 17.01, India Rooney placed second with a time of 17.37, Tamia Gulley placed eighth with a time of 19.12, Shania Rankin finished with a time of 19.47, Kamille Bryant finished with a time of 20.25.
In the 300 meter hurdles - Fantasia Barmore placed second with a time of 52.05, India Rooney placed third with a time of 53.43, Tamia Gulley finished with a time of 64.92, Mahogany Lofton finished with a time of 71.39.
In the 4x100 meter relay - Prescott Team (Keisha Johnson, Fantasia Barmore, Jada Purifoy, Keeyonece Butler) placed first with a winning time of 4:35.90.
In the 4x800 meter relay - Prescott Team (Jada Purifoy, Leighton Hillery, Heavenly Zachery, Tynishia Jones) placed second with a time of 12:03.45.

FIELD EVENTS
In the High Jump - India Rooney placed sixth with a jump of 4-02, Fantasia Barmore finished with jump of 4-00, Miccha Sorrells and Leighton Hillery finished with a jump of 3-10.
In the Pole Vault - Kamryn Collier placed first at 8-00, Kendall Sands placed third at 6-06, Charity McKinnon and Jacie Purtle placed sixth at 5-00.
In the Long Jump - Fantasia Barmore placed first with a winning jump of 15-05, Hailey Patrick placed third with a jump of 14-05, India Rooney placed sixth with a jump of 13-11,Miccha Sorrells placed eighth with a jump of 13-04.
In the Triple Jump - Jada Purifoy placed third with a jump of 30-07 (seed 29-10), Emma Doucet placed fourth with a jump of 30-07, Fantasia Barmore placed fifth with a jump of 30-07 (seed 31-06), Hailey Patrick finished with a jump of 29-00, Karson Marlar finished with a jump of 27.07.
In the Shot Put - Janiya Roberts placed sixth with a throw of 30-04.50, Paige Brooks placed seventh with a throw of 29-11.50, Mahogany Lofton placed eighth with a throw of 28-07, Kaylee Nolen finished with a throw of 28-03, Jada Sharp finished with a throw of 28-01.
In the Discus Throw - Essence Thomas placed first with a winning throw of 90-08, Brooke Formby placed seventh with a throw of 67-09, Janiya Roberts finished with a throw of 62-08, I'Ley Muldrew finished with a throw of 62-00, Madeline Koger finished with a throw of 55-06.
