The Prescott Lady Cubs would rally big to secure an dominating first round win over the Fouke Jr. Lady Panthers in the 7-3A Girls Jr. High District Tournament last week. Unfortunately, the Lady Cubs faced off against the Cossatot Jr. Lady Eagles to fall short in the semifinals round to end their hard fought season of junior high hoops.

The Prescott Lady Cubs would rally big to secure an dominating first round win over the Fouke Jr. Lady Panthers in the 7-3A Girls Jr. High District Tournament last week. Unfortunately, the Lady Cubs faced off against the Cossatot Jr. Lady Eagles to fall short in the semifinals round to end their hard fought season of junior high hoops.
Despite their season ending run in the district semifinals, the Lady Cubs picked up key wins this season home and on the road topping Sheridan and finishing third place in tournament play hosted at Hot Springs Lakeside. The Lady Cubs defeated Lafayette County and Camden-Fairview in tournament play in Hot Springs with strong competition in the Nashville tourney back in November-December 2017.
The Lady Cubs finish out the season plus .500 at 9-8 overall and earning the No. 3 seed for district tournament play under head coach B.J. Rogers with assist Heidi Graham.

7-3A GIRLS JR. HIGH DISTRICT TOURNAMENT 2018
First Round
LADY CUBS 46, FOUKE 16
The Lady Cubs came out strong in the early going of their dominating first round victory against Fouke to end opening quarter action leading the Jr. Lady Panthers 19-8. In the second quarter, Prescott outscored Fouke 7-3 and at the break, the Lady Cubs led the Jr. Lady Panthers 26-11. In the second half, the Lady Cubs outscored Fouke 20-5 for both final periods of action to roll to an 30-point victory.
For the game, Lady Cubs' India Rooney led scoring with a impressive 18 points and Emma Doucet followed with a strong 12 points for double-figures. Vontavin Hopper and Anaja Young each had six points apiece, Essence Thomas and Jada Sharp each had two points apiece.
