Once again, the Prescott Curley Wolf nation will be represented in Conway this summer for the 63rd anniversary of the Arkansas Army National Guard AHSCA All-Star Football game with Thomas Muldrew and Kadarius Pearson selected to play on the West All-Star team hosted at the University of Central Arkansas.
The head coach for the East Football team is Maurice Moody of McClellan and the head coach of the West Football team is J.R. Eldgridge of Arkadelphia.
The 63rd All-Star Football game will be played at Estes Stadium on the UCA campus on Saturday, June 23 at 6 p.m.
Muldrew and Pearson will join a host of former Curley Wolf greats to play in the all-star football game.
Last year, Prescott's very own football head coach Tommy Poole and former Curley Wolves' Jay Marks, Chris Cowling and Tyler Rucker with cheerleaders Abigail "Abby" Madden and Shatayana Ross all were selected to participate at the 2017 AHSCA All-Star games in Conway.
Muldrew and Pearson both were major parts of the Curley Wolves football team's success this past season. Muldrew and Pearson both were nominated to the Hooten's Arkansas Football Farm Bureau Awards Watch list for Offensive Player of the Year.
Muldrew earned All-State honors, completed 33-of-70 passes for 781 yards at quarterback, ran for over 1,000 yards at running back and scored 16 touchdowns on the ground and caught 17 passes for 245 yards for five touchdowns receiving. Muldrew had 1,311 All Purpose Yards for 2, 028 total yards for the 2017 season.
Pearson, had 38 receptions for 677 yards receiving with six touchdowns, 688 All Purpose and Total Yards for the season 2017.
This past season, the Curley Wolves held the No. 1 overall ranking for seven consecutive weeks in the state for Class 3A (Associated Press Arkansas Prep Poll, Hooten's Arkansas Football Class 3A rankings, Arkansas Democrat Prep Poll and Max Prep Poll Rankings). Prescott was ranked as one of five top teams in the entire state for Class 3A heading into the postseason by all three polls.
Muldrew and Pearson are apart of the Curley Wolves finishing the non-conference schedule unbeaten into league season.
Through week 6 of high school football season, they both helped the Curley Wolves extended their winning-streak to 21 consecutive wins since the start of their 2016 championship season. The streak ended in their tough loss at Glen Rose 37-27, but it's stands as the longest winning-streak in the history of their Prescott football program.
Prescott finishes two consecutive seasons unbeaten at home on Eddie Jackson Field, Cummins Stadium going into season 2018 under Poole.
