The Prescott Lady Wolves made some noise on the hardwood in recent hoop battles last week in senior high girls basketball competition. The Lady Wolves came out big in home victories over Horatio 45-29 and Fouke Lady Panthers 58-54. On the road, the Lady Wolves secured victory against Genoa Central 41-38 in the another close encounter with Prescott sweeping the series meeting.
Prescott's victories posted an three game-winning streak going into their match-up at Nashville, but the Lady Wolves fell short to the Lady Scrappers in their series finale for the season. for an 15-8 overall record.
Head coach B.J. Rogers with assistant coach Heidi Graham continue to keep the flow of confidence rolling for their Lady Wolves as they're preparing for tourney time coming up in February to return back to the big dance in March at the Class 3A state tournament.
This week, the Lady Wolves will return to hoops competition hosting Ashdown at home and head on the road Friday night to face Mena to end season meetings in senior high girls basketball action.

LADY WOLVES 45, HORATIO 29
The Lady Wolves trailed in first half action to Horatio 25-19 at the break. In the second half, the Lady Wolves stepped up big on both ends of the court and outscored Horatio 26-4. Defensively, the Lady Wolves held Horatio scoreless in the third quarter with Prescott accounting for 12 points in the third and 14 points scored in the fourth period. For the game, Lady Wolves' Lacie Nolen led scoring with a big 23 points and Haleigh Wiley added 12 points for double-figures. Anna Byers scored five points, Jonay Roberts had four points and Jai Dorrough chipped in one point.

LADY WOLVES 41, GENOA CENTRAL 38
The Lady Wolves had another big and competitive battle in their second meeting against Genoa. The Lady Wolves started out impressive to outscore Genoa 13-4 in the first quarter and 13-10 in the second period. At halftime, Prescott led Genoa 26-14. In the second half, the Lady Wolves were held to only two points scored in the third period with the Lady Dragons pouring 10 points. In the fourth, the Lady Wolves sparked for double-digit scoring with 13 points scored but the Lady Dragons posted 14 points to outscore Prescott 24-15 in the second half. But in the end, the Lady Wolves prevailed for the three points win, 41-38. For the game, Lady Wolves' Nolen led scoring for another huge scoring display with 20 points for double-figures with Wiley and Byers contributing eight points apiece for the Prescott  "Big 3". Dorrough and Abigail Dougan each scored two points apiece and Roberts followed with one point.

LADY WOLVES 58, FOUKE 54
Prescott took care of business in their previous home battle for senior high girls basketball action the take down a good Fouke Lady Panthers' squad 58-54 and sweep their series meeting on the hardwood for league play. The Lady Wolves led at halftime 29-19, then dropped 29 points in the second half despite Fouke outscoring Prescott with 35 points combine for third and fourth quarter scoring. For the game, Lady Wolves' Nolen led scoring with 20 points for double-figures. This was Nolen's third consecutive game to score 20 or more points as the team's leading scorer. Wiley followed with 16 points for double-figures. Dougan added six key points, Byers followed with five points, Roberts and Dorrough and Carly Van Hook each had three points apiece and Olivia Williams contributed two points.

LADY WOLVES 38, GURDON 44
Prescott concluded their series meeting on the road against Gurdon Lady-Go Devils in G-town. The Lady Wolves looked to even the series from falling the Gurdon at home, but fell to the Lady Go-Devils in G-town for the second meeting in a close encounter for the six point defeat. For the game, Lady Wolves' Nolen led scoring with 12 points and Wiley added 10 points for double-digits. Byers finished with eight points, Roberts and Maggie Grimes each had three points apiece and Dorrough scored two points.
