The dream season continues to remain in the path of the talented Nevada Jr. Blue Jays junior high boys basketball team under veteran head coach Bobby Mullins. The Jr. Blue Jays racked up dominating victories last week on the road against Emerson and then at home hosting Taylor to post a unbeaten overall record at 20-0 thus far into the 2017-18 basketball season.
No team has been able to stay within striking distance or compete on the level in competition with the Jr. Blue Jays as they've won all their battles in winning fashion as a dynamic and exciting group of junior high hoopsters.
The Jr. Blue Jays will get ready to enter into district tournament competition looking to reclaim a consecutive title as won last year as the defending district junior high champs with the Jr. Lady Jays.
Last year, the Jr. Blue Jays captured their fourth consecutive district tournament title under head coach  Mullins. The Jr. Blue Jays defeated the Bradley Jr. Bears 51-43 in the boys junior high championship game.  This season, the Jr. Blue Jays look for their fifth consecutive district title with an undefeated overall record and winning earlier season tournament hosted at Genoa Central and Nashville.
