Prescott Curley Cubs junior high hoopsters have taken care of business on the hardwood in recent battles to post an unbeaten 5-0 conference record. The Curley Cubs won their previous two home battles at the Prescott Sports Arena defeating Horatio 52-27 and Fouke Jr. Panthers 40-11 for dominating wins.
This week, the Curley Cubs will play their final home game of the season hosting Ashdown then march into the jr. high conference tourney hosted at Genoa Central.

CURLEY CUBS 52, HORATIO 27
The Curley Cubs jumped out to a big spark to end opening period action leading the Horatio Jr. Lions 18-8. In the second, the Curley Cubs outscore Horatio 9-7 and took an 27-15 lead into the locker room over the Jr. Lions at halftime. In the second half, the Curley Cubs outscored Horatio 25-12 for third and fourth quarter scoring with Prescott marching onto an 25 point victory. For the game, Cubs' Jacobi Nolen led scoring with 16 points, Jacaylon Zachery added 12 points for double-figures. Carsten Poole scored six points, Chadrius Haynie and Devin Rash each had four points apiece, Andrew Ellis, Tywan Thompson and Omarion Dickens all contributed two points apiece.

CURLEY CUBS 40, FOUKE 11
With an impressive overall offensive and defensive performance, the Prescott Curley Cubs posted an 29 point victory against the Fouke Jr. Panthers at home last Tuesday night at the Prescott Sports Arena. The Cubs held Fouke under double-digit scoring all four quarters of action. At halftime, Prescott led Fouke 17-5. In the second half, the Cubs outscored Fouke 23-9 for third and fourth periods with the Jr. Panthers held to only two points in the third quarter and four points in the fourth. For the game, Cubs' Nolen led scoring with 11 points for the only player in double-figures. Haynie added nine points, Poole chipped in six points, Calen Harris scored four points, Thompson, Justin Brown, Tracy McClinton and Zachery each had two points apiece.
