The Prescott Lady Wolves had two intense battles on the hardwood last week despite inclement weather conditions postponing their game against Genoa Central due to the winter snow fall and delaying more days of time off from action.

The Prescott Lady Wolves had two intense battles on the hardwood last week despite inclement weather conditions postponing their game against Genoa Central due to the winter snow fall and delaying more days of time off from action. The Lady Wolves did return to the hardwood last Thursday and Friday night to face rivals' Gurdon on the road and welcoming Horatio to home hoops. As as result, the Lady Wolves split wins last week in senior high girls basketball action.
The Lady Wolves fell to the Gurdon Lady Go-Devils 44-38 which allowed G-town to sweep their season series meeting against Prescott. But, on last Friday night the Lady Wolves regrouped and defeated the Horatio Lady Lions 45-29 at home for the Prescott Sports Arena fans.
The Lady Wolves trailed in first half action to Horatio 25-19 at the break. In the second half, the Lady Wolves stepped up big on both ends of the court and outscored Horatio 26-4. Defensively, the Lady Wolves held Horatio scoreless in the third quarter with Prescott accounting for 12 points in the third and 14 points scored in the fourth period. With the win, the Lady Wolves now have secured three consecutive wins at home from their previous battles at the Prescott Sports Arena.
This week the Lady Wolves return to the hardwood at home hosting Fouke looking to sweep their season series match-up and travel to Nashville to face the Lady Scrapperettes for Friday night hoops at Scrapper Arena.
The Lady Wolves are 13-7 overall.
