After taking a tough road loss to Ashdown 61-29, the Prescott Curley Wolves regrouped and cruised to victory over Cossatot River Eagles 46-25 at home last Friday night at the Prescott Sports Arena.

After taking a tough road loss to Ashdown 61-29, the Prescott Curley Wolves regrouped and cruised to victory over Cossatot River Eagles 46-25 at home last Friday night at the Prescott Sports Arena.
The Curley Wolves led the entire game and displayed pure defense to secure them the 21 point home win over the visiting Eagles.
In first quarter action, the Curley Wolves jumped out to a big advantage led by Quontravious Caldwell, Kylin Haynie both splitting a pair of free-throws, and C.J. Hill draining a 3-pointer gave Prescott the 7-2 lead to end first period play.
In the second, Caldwell opened the quarter with back to back baskets and Hill scoring from the field extended the Curley Wolf lead to 14-2 down to the 4:30 mark. The Eagles stopped the Prescott run from knocking down two shots at the foul line, but Caldwell answered back with a trifecta from behind the arc at the 3:36 mark and Prescott led the Eagles 17-4. Javell Page added to the Curley Wolves' lead at the charity stripe hitting 1-of-2 free-throws with Hill and Caldwell scoring buckets from the field that led to a Prescott 22-6 lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Curley Wolves came out the locker room building more momentum and outscored Cossatot River 16-6 in third quarter action. At the end of three periods, Prescott led the Eagles, 38-12.
In the fourth period, the Eagles sparked for 13 points scored, but the Wolves dropped eight points that secure them victory. Caldwell and Larry Peters each scored from the field with Tyler Doucet connecting on both free-throws and the best for last came from Colby Fountain dazzling his way to score and put the finishing touch on the Curley Wolves' win in the closing seconds of the game.
For the game, Caldwell led scoring with 15 points and Hill had 14 points for double-figures. Quantas Gulley, Haynie and Page all scored three points apiece, Trey Rucker, Doucet and Fountain each contributed two points apiece.
This week, the Curley Wolves travel on the road to conclude series meeting at Genoa Central and G-town (Gurdon). On this Friday night, the Curley Wolves return home to host Horatio for another four game home stanza of action at the Prescott Sports Arena.
