The Prescott Lady Wolves have racked up a few impressive victories on the hardwood in recent road games for senior high girls basketball action. The Lady Wolves posted a dominant victory against Lafayette County Lady Cougars 48-11. The Lady Wolves impressed with key defensive play in first quarter action to hold the Lady Cougars scoreless with Prescott dropping 14 points in the basket to open the game for a double-digit scoring period. In the second, the Lady Wolves maintain their dominance and outscored the Lady Cougars 13-2. At halftime, the Lady Wolves marched into the locker room with an 27-2 advantage.
In the third quarter, the Lady Wolves kept their intensity rolling on both ends of the court and outscored LC 11-8 in the third quarter and 10-1 in the fourth. Prescott totaled for 21 points scored in the second half and held LC to only nine points added to the scoreboard. The Lady Wolves rolled onto an 37 points victory in their non-conference affair against the Lady Cougars.
For the game, Lady Wolves' Lacie Nolen led all scorers with 14 points in double-figures and outscored the entire Lady Lafayette County team's total points for the game. Anna Byers finished with eight points, Jonay Roberts had seven points, Maggie Grimes had six points and drained two trey's from behind the arc. Abigail Dougan and Jai Dorrough each scored three points apiece and Carly Vanhook had two points.
Then on last Friday, the Lady Wolves secured a huge victory to defeat Class 6A Benton Lady Panthers 49-40 to post back to back road wins and account a winning-streak progressing going into their season-home opener this Friday night Dec. 15 hosting Nashville at the Prescott Sports Arena.
