The Nevada Lady Jays have found their spark to secure back to back wins on the hardwood last week for senior high girls basketball action. The Lady Jays pulled out a close but convincing road win against the Strong Lady Bulldogs 45-39. The Lady Jays were led in scoring by A'gianna Beal with 10 points for double-figures. Kiara Frazier followed with nine points, Camyia Cody added seven points, Carolyn Dixon dropped four points for multiple scoring for Nevada.
The Lady Jays continued their streak of winning in their return home for action defeating the Lafayette County Lady Cougars 54-23 on last Friday night.
With the wins, the Lady Jays improved to 4-7 overall and posting victories in their previous three games on the hardwood.
This week, the Lady Jays take their three winning-streak back on the road to Parkers Chapel for senior high girls basketball action.
Head coach Kevan Moore anticipates the following games remaining on the schedule for first the half of the season to be tough, but his Lady Jays' play in recent battles provides much needed momentum going into the second half of the year in January 2018.
