Prescott Lady Wolves tracksters had several competitors to represent in track and field competition Tuesday May 2 in the 2017 Class 3A state girls track meet hosted at Eddie Jackson Field at Cummins Stadium.

Prescott Lady Wolves tracksters had several competitors to represent in track and field competition Tuesday May 2 in the 2017 Class 3A state girls track meet hosted at Eddie Jackson Field at Cummins Stadium.
Lady Wolves had qualifiers to compete in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 4 x 100 and 4 x 800 meter relays. Prescott finished 17th overall with a total of 11 points earned and finished ahead of 12 schools from the 31 represented to compete.
Jamia Smith placed seventh in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.41, Haleigh Wiley placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.73. Kasheya Murphy finished ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 67.85. The Lady Wolves team placed eighth in the 4 x 100 meter relay with a time of 52.61. In the 4 x 800 meter relay, Prescott Lady Wolves team of Anna Byers, Maggie Grimes, Emily Henderson and Kaleigh Spencer placed fifth with a time of 11:21.59.
Genoa Central captured the overall first place girls 3A state track title for 2017 with 117 points and Harding Academy was state runner-ups with 64 points.
