The Prescott Nevada County Chamber banquet is nearly sold out, but additional tables are being added to the event to accommodate the overwhelming support and interest from the community.
“I feel like our community participation in this year's banquet has been amazing,” Jamie Hillary, executive director of the chamber, said. “We have sold over 200 tickets already and plan to bring more tables in than we had last year.
“Everyone has been so helpful in donating auction item gifts and our ticket sales are off the chart compared to previous years.
“We are very excited that everyone is making an appearance this year,” she continued. “We have a lot of wonderful awards to give out to very deserving people and are even introducing a new award this year for the organization of the year.”
The evening will include live and silent auctions.
“We have many wonderful auction items this year donated from local individuals, civic clubs and  businesses,” Hillary said.
Items include signed football and helmet from Prescott Curley Wolves state championship football team, a Razorback shooting table, a drone, yard equipment, gift certificates and more.
This year’s banquet theme is “A Night to Remember.”
Hillary said this year’s volunteer chamber committee did a great job making this year special.
“The chamber puts together a banquet committee made up of about 8-10 chamber board members who decide on theme speaker decorations and every detail of the banquet,” she explained. “The theme this year is taking us back in time through Prescott history. “Lots of wonderful things have happened her in Prescott, Arkansas that we want to highlight,” she continued. “The banquet room will be decorated with images and news articles collected from the Nevada County Depot museum and through lots of research.”
The annual presentations of the Business Leadership Award, Organization of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Treasurer of Gold, Hometown Hero, Farm Family of the Year, as well as Students and Educators of the Year for Prescott and Nevada Schools will be held.
Senator Bruce Maloch will be the speaker at this year’s banquet, which will be catered by The Fish Bowl.
“We are very excited for Senator Maloch to join us this year and for the menu,” Hillary said. “So get your tickets while they are still available.”
Tickets are $20 or $150 for a table of eight and are available at the chamber or from chamber board members. Call 870-887-2101 for more information.
