Children got to enjoy Breakfast with Santa at the Prescott/Nevada County Chamber’s annual event on Saturday morning at the Potlatch building.
An estimated 200 children attended the event. The chamber served breakfast to children and their families.
"New this year are the decorations," Jamie Hillery, chamber director, said.
The walls of the building had been decorated with red and green paper and donned with Christmas themed items.
Hillery said the chamber wanted to change the feel of the room, and give it more of a Christmas feel.
She said the chamber was glad to see a "full house" for the event.
"This is a free event for the community," she said.
She said they were also accepting canned goods to be donated.
Hillery said when the children leave they get a gift box. There were over 250 gift boxes divided up into age groups to be given.
Hillery said the boxes had small stocking stuffer items in them such as toothpaste and candy.
"This is my first experience at the event and think it is great for the community to come together and the children get to see Santa," Carrie Gourley said.
She attended the event with her granddaughter, Charlotte Ledbetter, to meet Santa.
Children got to enjoy various activities and games provided by the chamber.
Children decorated sugar cookies, played Bingo and collected reindeer seed. They also   got to tell Santa their Christmas wishes and get their picture taken with him. Children also got to sit in Santa's sleigh.
