A Prescott man faces serious allegations in Clark County Circuit Court.
According to the court documents, James Kevin Eason, 53, is facing charges of theft of property for allegedly stealing a rental car.
Eason allegedly signed a rental agreement at Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a secondary driver in April. The other signee was a pastor whose church Eason was reportedly attending. The pastor aided in the transaction with the intention of helping the suspect.
A one day duration was the intended amount of time in the agreement.
By 1 p.m. on the following day of April 29, the 2016 Chrysler 200 four-door sedan was still allegedly in Eason’s possession.
Several days passed without its return, but Sgt. Kevin Yeagle confirmed that it was eventually recovered.
Eason has been charged with theft of property greater than $5,000.
