Cutter Morning Star was Prescott's fourth grid victim, falling 46-6 in a game not nearly as close as the score indicates, lopsided as it is.
From the outset it was obvious the Eagles were badly overmatched as the Wolves pretty much did what they pleased. Prescott's starters got what amounted to a light workout before sitting out most of the game. Coach Greg Smith began substituting heavily early in the second quarter to keep the starters from possible injury.
Prescott saw plenty of laundry fall as the Wolves were flagged nine times for 75 yards, while CMS was penalized three times for 20 yards. The Wolves amassed 16 first downs while the defense allowed four. Additionally Prescott sacked the Cutter quarterback once.
The Wolves fumbled twice, losing the ball once. Cutter fumbled three times, losing two. Prescott rushed 20 times for 187 yards, while CMS ran 12 times for 32 yards. The Wolves dominated in total yards 365 to 86, and this doesn't count the punt return yards. McCoy ended the night with six carries for 113 yards.
Prescott will be at home Friday night as the Wolves host the Cobras of Fountain Lake. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Cummins Stadium.
